| After starting off in McHenry
the
route continues to Cumberland, Maryland, then visits Martinsburg, W. Virginia, returns to Maryland
for stops in Westminster and Aberdeen, heads to Pennsylvania to visit
Lancaster and Kulpsville before returning
home. One of the planners of this years ride offered this
thumbnail portrait of the route: “The terrain starts rolling to hilly,
gets real hilly for days two, three and four, goes to real rolling with
more hills then just to rolling. We’ll average 70 miles a day, plus or
minus five miles. It’s mostly rural and very scenic, but with the
occasional built-up area near the hotels.” Should be a
challenging ride for the 180 plus cyclists for Anchor House! |
